El cerro del Toloche II

Leyendas de Toluca, Mexico.

En Santiago Miltepec se cuenta que existía un espíritu maligno en el cerro llamado del Toloche, en el cual existe una cueva donde se dice que vive el Diablo que se transforma en un animal parecido al chivo.

Abajo de esa cueva pasaba el camino que conducía a Toluca y se cuenta que las niñas que transitaban por ese camino, a mediodía; desaparecían misteriosamente, atribuyéndole dicha desaparición al chivo por lo que después de la pérdida de tantas víctimas, el pueblo se alarmó y se vio en la necesidad de solicitar los auxilios eclesiásticos.

Concediéndoles dicha petición se mandó un sacerdote, el cual fue a conjurar dicha cueva la que fue tapada con mampostería de piedra, poniéndole una cruz de madera en el exterior, la cual existe todavía.
