Una leyenda que aprendi mientras paseaba por la ciudad de Coroncha es esta:
En Argentina hubieron sangrientas guerras civiles a mediados de 1800. Estas guerras fueron muy crudas en el noreste argentino.
Los lugareños, para evitar que roben sus cosas durante los saqueos, juntaban todas sus pertenencias de valor y las colocaban en cofres. Luego, iban a algun punto de sus haciendas y los enterraban. Para "proteger" el tesoro y para marcar el lugar, plantaban un arbol. La matanza llego y muchos de esos tesoros quedaron son dueños que los reclamasen.

Mucho tiempo ha pasado ya de eso y cuentan las abuelas que los espiritus de los dueños de esos tesoros aun se aferran a ellos y los protegen celosamente.
Cualquier persona que trate de desenterrarlos debera enfrentarse a ese espiritu, que le jugara muchas "bromas" para que abandone el intento. Si finalmente el buscador de tesoros consigue dar con el cofre, el espiritu de su dueño aparecera, si la persona es digna de llevarselo, el espiritu quedara liberado de su "pena" y no pasara nada. Si la persona no es digna, el espiritu dejara que la persona lleve el tesoro, pero este tesoro solo le traera desdicha.
La persona que me lo conto tambien me dijo que un amigo suyo encontro uno de estos tesoros y al parecer no fue "digno". Al dia siguiente su esposa muere misteriosamente. Luego de un par de meses, su hijo menor muere en un accidente laboral y luego de un tiempo su otro hijo muere tambien en un extraño accidente…
