Leyenda de la Venus Mexicana, Tlazolteotl

Un hombre llamado Jappán quería llegar a ser el favorito de los dioses; abandono a su familia y todos sus bienes, y comenzó su vida de ermitaño en el desierto. Una vez allí, permaneció día y noche entregado a la devoción.

Los dioses quisieron poner a prueba su virtud y ordenaron al demonio Yaotl –el enemigo- que lo tentara y lo catigara si se rendía. Yaotl le ofreció las criaturas mas hermosas para hacerlo bajar de la alta roca donde se había instalado, pero todo fue en vano. La diosa Tlazolteaotl, interesada en aquel juego, se presento ante Jappán, que al ver su hermosura quedo turbado, y le dijo:

-Hermano Jappán, maravillada de tu virtud y conmovida por tus sufrimientos, quiero reconfortarte. ¿Como puedo llegar hasta ti para hablarte mas cómodamente?

El ermitaño, sin darse cuenta de la trampa que le tendía, bajo de su roca y ayudo a la diosa a subir a ella. Al hacerlo, la virtud de Jappán cayó y enseguida llego Yaotl –y a pesar de todas sus suplicas- le corto la cabeza.

Los dioses lo transformaron en escorpión y avergonzado se escondió bajo la piedra. Luego Yaotl fue a buscar a la mujer de Jappán, Tlahuizin –la inflamada- y la llevo junto a la piedra donde estaba escondido su marido, le contó lo que había pasado y también le corto la cabeza.

Uniéndose a su marido bajo la roca, dieron nacimiento a escorpiones de diferentes colores. Los dioses consideraron que Yaotl se había excedido en su misión y lo transformaron en saltamontes.

    In this awesome pattern of things you get an A+ with regard to effort. Exactly where you confused me ended up being on the details. You know, people say, the devil is in the details… And that could not be more correct right here. Having said that, let me say to you precisely what did do the job. The authoring is certainly very engaging and this is possibly the reason why I am taking an effort to comment. I do not make it a regular habit of doing that. Second, although I can easily notice a leaps in logic you come up with, I am definitely not certain of how you seem to unite your points that make the conclusion. For right now I will, no doubt subscribe to your point but hope in the near future you actually connect the dots much better.
